pure substance
Has the same chemical composition throughout and cannot be separated into components by physical means.
Two or more pure substances (element or compound) which may vary in composition and are divided into homogeneous and heterogeneous.
A type of a pure substance that cannot be broken down any further even by a chemical process.
A type of pure substance that is composed of two or more elements.
A chemical process by which we can break down molecules into its component elements.
Homogeneous Mixture
Uniform composition throughout and is often called a solution.
Heterogeneous Mixture
A mixture that is not uniform throughout.
Aqueous Solution
A solution in which a substance is dissolved in water.
Change from a gas to a solid.
Change from a solid to a gas.
