I witnessed a cricket match between our school team and the Dave Higher Secondary School's senior boys team that lasted for a full day. Despite warm weather, a substantial number of spectators filled the stands. The match started at 9:00 a.m., with Dave winning the toss and choosing to bat first. During the first half-hour, their batters demonstrated their strong batting skills and scored 55 runs. By 11:30 am, they were all out for a total score of 140 runs.
After a half-hour break, our school team began their innings with our best scorers as the opening batters. For the next 45 minutes
..., they impressed the crowd with an exciting display of hard-hitting, scoring 105 runs before lunch-break at 1:00 p.m. However, after lunch-break, both openers were quickly out for another 15 runs, leaving the remaining nine players to score a final 21 runs in three hours.
The remaining two hours of play were filled with drama and excitement as both teams demonstrated their batting and fielding skills, but ultimately our school team managed to score 141 runs and secure the victory. Throughout the match, the stands remained full as spectators enjoyed every moment of this thrilling game.
